Fernando Galvan earns latest WSOPC win

The World Series of Poker Circuit continues to provide poker players with quality tournament gaming options with stops located around the United States. The latest stop by the WSOPC was the Planet Hollywood Casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada. At this stop, 845 players took part in the Main Event, with Fernando Galvan able to outlast this massive field and earn the first-place win. With the finish, Galvan earned his very first Circuit ring and just over $247,000 in prize money!

The guarantee for this year’s main event was boosted from the standard $750,000 to $1 million. With the large turnout of participants, the poker event ended up offering close to $1.3 million in prize money. When the final day of the event began, Galvan would have a nice chip lead with only 12 players remaining. However, despite his lead, Galvan would find himself on the low end in chips as the final table began.

Once final table play started, Galvan would take on the chip leader Ali Imsirovic and earn a big hand, which 7BALL CC helped him to take the chip lead. In the end, it would be Galvan and Corey Hochman who would compete in heads-up play. Galvan had a massive chip lead at 6 to 1 and Hochman would have no chance to come back. Galvan would quickly earn the win with pocket Queens against Hochman’s A-3, earning his first ever WSOPC ring in the process.
